4 Things Making Me Happy Right Now


    MEMORIES FROM SUMMER. When I think of July and August, I remember the way the wind filled my hair as I drove with the windows down. The smells of bonfires, cheap beer, and the breeze coming off the lake. I remember staying up late talking about life, eating BBQ food, exploring new trails & laying in the sunshine with a book… Most notably, I remember spending time with my family and enjoying every minute. The only thing I needed my phone for was for choosing a Spotify playlist.


    COACH. How could I not mention my cute girl, since she makes me so happy each day? Nothing or no one could ever fill that space in my heart that Coach does. So much love and so much joy. Horrifying to even think that if I hadn’t had the courage to get a dog alone, I wouldn't have her. Coach is curled up sleeping next to me right now and I feel like life is complete. I love the fact that I’m responsible for her. Yes it has been hard at times, but I wouldn’t change a thing, I wouldn’t give her up in million years. ❤️


    EMBRACING MY BOUNDARIES. For the past couple months, I have made a conscious effort to identify situations that drain my energy, give me an anxious knot feeling in my stomach, or straight up make me want to cry. Too often, I neglected to stand up for myself by staying silent in these type of situations. I've discovered that embracing my boundaries is an important aspect of self-care that has brought me much more fulfillment and a lot less stress.

    SEPTEMBER. This summer gave me a fresh perspective on life and authentic happiness. What I really want in life and what I do not. I am definitely going to miss those warm summer nights and all the sweet memories… but I’m so recharged and full of new energy, that I can't help but get excited for the slow decent into fall. Feeling grateful for what summer 2020 has meant to me and I am looking forward to what the next season holds. 🍂
